Weather Report

We have had over two weeks of pretty steady rain here. More thunderstorms and heavy rains than I can remember for a long time. And now we have Tropical Storm Alex to contend with. It is forecast to become a hurricane within the next 24 hours. The predicted track will take it well offshore from us, but it will probably bring even more rain before it passes. Maybe the storm will take all this nasty weather with it and we can have some sunshine for a change. I certainly hope so. It would be nice to be able to go diving without having the weather to contend with.

Just a photo of my dive buddies on the reef off Ambergris Caye in Belize. I hope to get some new photos this weekend when I dive off the Tower and the tug this Sunday. (Weather permitting)

Son Buying House

I found out yesterday that my son Jason is buying a house. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in Chesapeake. Don't have any other details yet. I am loaning him $4,000 to help with the closing costs. I am excited with him buying his first house. I cannot wait to see it. I just hope he finds a wife soon to share it with. I am past ready to be a Grandfather. BTW, my son is a chip off the old block. He is a senior network engineer with a contractor employed by the Coast Guard here in Chesapeake. He already knows more about computers and networks than I do.
