Long weekend
16 December, 2004, 06:42 am
I am off from work today through the weekend. I was going to drop my truck off this morning to have the brakes worked on and get a state inspection but there was a mixup and I will have to wait till later this afternoon. So I paid some bills, went to the post office to get stamps, and am trying to make an appointment to get my long overdue haircut. I had to drop Dana off at school and will have to pick her up at 2pm. I then have to meet Teresa at the garage to leave my truck to be worked on. In between, I hope to get some Christmas shopping done, register for the basic photography course I want to take at TCC this winter, and take Ginger for a walk. It should be a busy day. The weather has been clear and cold with a low this morning of 19 degrees. Brrrrr..... And snow in the forecast for Monday.

Another week
13 December, 2004, 05:06 pm
Another week to report. Went to Virginia Beach this Sunday to look around and take some photos. Ordered a Tivo which was delivered today. I really wanted to open it up but Teresa talked me into putting it under the tree. I need to get with the shopping and not wait until the last moment. The Christmas tree is up and decorated and it looks great. We have lit up the front yard as well. Even the weather is starting to remind us that Christmas is near. The next three days will see daytime temperatures in the low 50's and night temperatures in the low to mid 20's. Brrr.... I plan on taking Thursday and Friday off to shop and get the truck worked on and ready for inspection. Oh, I went to the Portsmouth animal shelter Saturday to look for a possible dog to be a companion for Ginger in her golden years. Not too many dogs there to pick from. I guess that is a good thing. Maybe most of them have been adopted for Christmas presents for children. I sure hope so as it breaks my heart every time I go there and think that some of those beautiful animals may be put to sleep. Well , Ho Ho Ho and a politically incorrect Merry Christmas.

I forgot again
8 December, 2004, 08:32 pm
Went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant near the Deep Creek locks the other night for my son Jasons 29th birthday. Man is that hard to believe. I don't feel old but I have a 29 year old son. Wow. Anyway, I got him a nice card and Metal Gear Solid 3 for the Playstation 2. He follows in his Daddys footsteps, for better or for worse. He was brought up around computers and playing computer games and now he knows more about computers than I do. I'm sure he stayed up most of the night playing his new game, just like I would have when I was his age. I do love him so...
